Christmas is a time for giving back, and at Stockford Recruitment, we believe that growing a business should also create opportunities to make a positive difference in the communities around us.

That's why we were incredibly proud to support four Lancashire charities over the festive period, helping to spread a little Christmas cheer to organisations doing important work across our local communities.

The initiative has since been featured by the Lancashire Post, shining a light not only on the charities involved but on the importance of local businesses finding ways to give back.

More than recruitment

Stockford Recruitment was founded in Chorley with a simple ambition: to build a recruitment business centred around people and relationships.

Day-to-day, that means helping businesses grow by finding great people and helping candidates make career moves that can genuinely change their lives.

But we've always believed that being a local business should mean more than simply having an office in the area.

It means being part of the community.

As the business continues to grow, we want supporting good causes to become part of that journey too.

Supporting four Lancashire charities at Christmas

For our Christmas initiative, we chose to support four charities across Lancashire, each making a difference to people and families in the region.

Rather than corporate gifts or another Christmas marketing campaign, we wanted to put something back into the communities that have supported Stockford Recruitment since the business was launched.

It was a relatively simple idea, but one we hope made a genuine difference at a time of year when charities and the people relying on them can need additional support.

For us, that's what giving back should be about.

Not doing something because it looks good on social media.

Doing it because you're in a position to help.

Proud to be a Chorley business

Although Stockford Recruitment works with businesses and candidates across the UK and internationally, Chorley remains our home.

Our office is based in the heart of the town, and as the company grows, maintaining that connection to Lancashire is important to us.

Founder and Managing Director Oli Stockford said:

"When I started Stockford Recruitment, of course I wanted to build a successful business, but success shouldn't just be measured by revenue, placements or how many clients you work with.

"If the business grows and puts us in a position where we can give something back as well, then I think we should.
